Georgia Henke
Owner/Agent
A little bit about myself, I was born and raised in the Midwest. I am married with 2 children and 3 crazy dogs. My husband and I own and operate a six-generation farm. We both come from very tight-knit families whom we truly love to spend time with.
It has always been a goal of mine to own my own agency after watching the success of my grandfather and several other family members. They instilled in me the importance of an insurance career and how rewarding it can be, not only in building your own business but, most importantly, in building a relationship with your clients.
So, after many years in Hospital Administration, I decided to follow in my grandfather’s footsteps and jump into the insurance industry. I have over 15 years of experience now. I think the greatest reward to any insurance agent is to know you are helping your family, friends and community make the right choices that best suit their needs in protecting their most valuable possessions, their family, home and all that goes along with that! So, I was thrilled when the opportunity came to purchase the Boyd Insurance Agency in April of 2024.
Other things that my family and I enjoy are spending time with family and friends, boating, and traveling to the beach. Both kids are very involved in sports, FFA, Eagle Scouts and the Junior Fire Department, which also keeps us busy! Truthfully, I’m not even sure how we fit trips to the beach in. They are few and far between! LOL! But we do enjoy them.
I currently also sit on Zion Lutheran School Board in Staunton, Il and am also a Board Member for the Staunton Country Club.
Lori Holshouser
Director of Operations
I gained my interest in the insurance industry from my late father who was a life insurance agent for many years until going into management. I obtained my Life/Health license in 1989 and later my Property and Casualty. I have held many positions in all aspects of insurance. From behind the scenes to corporate to individual sales and management. I came to Boyd Insurance Agency in 2019 as their Director of Operations.
My job is to ensure that the offices are running smoothly on a day-to-day basis. That entails a lot of things including coaching, training, problem solving, marketing and stepping in when there are difficult situations that arise. I had previously represented Allstate for over 14 years before moving to the brokerage side of insurance. Although I enjoyed that, I have always felt a certain loyalty to Allstate. I believe in their products and the sincere way in which they do business!
Although I miss the day-to-day interaction with clients and their families, I also am happy to be helping the younger generation of insurance professionals become outstanding salesmen/women and unbelievably talented customer service representatives.
Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband, family, and friends, spoiling our dog and two cats, boating, and watching football, baseball, golf, and Nascar!
Danielle Goedecke
Office Manager/Licensed Sales Professional
I grew up in the Metro-East and began my insurance career at the young age of 19. I have been a part of Boyd Insurance Agency for the last nine years and absolutely love my job! I am licensed both in Property/Casualty and Life/Health. I feel that neither is more important than the other. Throughout my years in insurance, my number one goal has always been to ensure my customers are confident in the coverage we are providing them and that they are properly protected in all aspects of their life.
Outside work, I enjoy traveling with my husband and two young sons. We love camping, hiking, and most all outdoor sports. Outside of my family, in the rare moments I get some alone time, I love thrift shopping and antiquing.
Manuel Angel
Office Manager/Licensed Sales Professional
I am originally from the Taylorville, IL area but have lived in the Metro-East since 2000. I am both Property/Casualty and Life/Health licensed. That enables me to help my clients ensure they are properly covered in all aspects of their lives. I started my career with Boyd Insurance Agency after getting to know the owners from being their server at my family’s restaurant. They saw something in me that made them think I would do great in insurance, and I am thankful they did! I thoroughly enjoy my role at Boyd Insurance Agency as not only a Licensed Sales Professional but as an Office Manager. Helping our clients obtain the insurance they need to protect them, their personal possessions and their family is my number one goal.
I am bilingual in English/Spanish, so I can help in both those cultures, which is also very important to me.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my fiancée and friends and am very close with my family. We love watching and participating in sports, trying new cuisine, dancing, and spending time with our pets.
Connor Zabala
Office Manager/Licensed Sales Professional
I grew up around the metro-east and played high school and college football. I met Boyd Insurance Agency through sports and after a couple of years of discussing opportunities with the agency, I decided to give it a try. Eight years later I am still here! The greatest thing about my job is I go home every night feeling like I was able to help someone! Whether it was getting them better pricing on their insurance, increasing liability so that they have the coverage they need, or helping them understand a claim they incurred. I am licensed in Property/Casualty and help with our Commercial accounts. I can’t imagine doing anything different than insurance!
In my spare time, I am still very active in sports, love hanging out with my family and friends, and I am a huge movie buff! There’s nothing better than me and my dogs relaxing on the couch and watching a movie. But, in the summer, you will likely find me riding my motorcycle.
Tamma Hunt
Licensed Service Specialist
Growing up in southern Missouri with my Dad being in the insurance industry for 35 years, I think that pretty much led me to attend Three Rivers Community College and then begin my business career in insurance. I have actively worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years and still love what I do. At Boyd Insurance Agency, where I have been for the last eight years, my role is a Service Specialist. I help clients through the claims process, billing issues, understanding coverages, and just about anything else they need help with. The best thing about the many hats I wear is that every day is different! And the diversity in the people that I interact with makes it fun! It also enables me to learn new things every day!
Outside the office, I enjoy gardening, swimming, baseball, and spending time with my husband and family. I am lucky to enjoy our cabin at the river with our many nieces and nephews!
Kelly Hanas
Licensed Service Specialist
I have worked in the insurance industry for many years. My family owns/operates an insurance brokerage firm in which I worked up until 2019. I decided to take a different route and went to work for the Boyd Insurance Agency as a Licensed Service Specialist.
I absolutely love my job! I get to interact with clients all day whether it is by phone or in person. I help them with changes to their policy, claims, and billing questions and I also do policy reviews with them. In the policy reviews, I make sure that the current policy still meets their needs. It is one of the most important processes I believe. Things are always changing so your needs are always changing. I take great care in making sure they are protected properly.
Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my daughter, family, and friends! I am also an avid Dallas Cowboys and St. Louis Blues fan! My daughter and I are also very involved in our church!
Ashley Maxey

After graduating from Pinckneyville, IL High School, I attend both SIU – Edwardsville and Carbondale. Most of my College credits were to obtain a degree in Psychology. I have studied various career choices and felt that insurance sales and service were something that interested me. I obtained my Illinois Producer license and started my career with Boyd Insurance Agency shortly after.
Although I am fairly new to the industry, I feel this is going to be a long time career for me. I love coming to work and being part of a team that is, so customer service oriented. This team really cares what happens to their clients and is always making sure they are doing what is best to protect the client and their families! That was exactly what I was looking for.
I love interacting with our customers and helping them decide on the correct coverage that best fits their needs.
In my spare time, I enjoy singing, dancing, and spending time with my cats!

Bryan Johnson is a celebrated Financial Services Professional in practice since 2002, assisting clients in finding, educating, and implementing efficient and effective strategic planning for:
- Retirement/Estate Planning– Life Insurance, Long-Term Care planning, Annuity, Income optimization, Soc Sec Planning, Pension Maximization, Estate Planning, Charitable, Mortgage Reduction programs. Strategic Retirement Income
- Business- Buy/Sell/Exit, Succession Planning, Key Person attraction and retention programs, Business Owner Retirement strategies.
- College Funding– Comprehensive planning and strategies for college funding concerns, increase needs/merit based aid, as well as College and Career choices. Taught 2hr courses at many local high schools, for hundreds of families, helping them gain a better understand of the college landscape and utilize special strategies to reduce college costs, thereby increasing retirement funding possibilities.
